TMHNA and The Raymond Corporation’s continued success and expansion in Broome County is a prime example of the expanding industrial ecosystem in the Southern Tier.
The Raymond Corporation, a leader in material handling equipment and intralogistics solutions, continues to deepen its roots in the Southern Tier of New York. Through Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), comprised of two main companies Toyota Material Handling, Inc. and The Raymond Corporation, an advanced energy storage manufacturing facility will be established, bringing growth in this sector along with job opportunities.
The facility will be a vital extension of Raymond’s existing energy solutions manufacturing operations located in Greene, New York, and will provide support to its material handling customers growing needs. This expansion marks another milestone in Raymond’s more than century-long history in the region, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, job creation, and community investment in Broome County and national delivery of solutions.

TMHNA and The Raymond Corporation will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on September 9, 2024, at their new energy solutions manufacturing facility located at 196 Corporate Drive in Kirkwood, New York.

"This facility will focus on producing cutting-edge energy solutions, including lithium-ion batteries and TPPL, a next generation lead acid battery solution, to meet the growing demands of our customers.
